Privacy Policy

This document describes how CodeElevate collects, uses, and handles data in connection with the use of our platform and services. This policy may be updated as the platform evolves — material changes will be communicated to active users.

1. Data we collect

When you use CodeElevate, we may collect information you provide directly — such as your name, work email address, company name, and role — as well as information generated through your use of the platform, including analysis run metadata and configuration settings.

CodeElevate performs read-only structural analysis of codebases. We do not retain your source files after analysis processing is complete. Findings, metadata, and account data may be retained for the duration of your subscription or as set out in this Privacy Policy. Analysis is performed on your behalf using access you explicitly authorize, and results are returned to your account.

2. How we use data

Information collected is used to provide and improve the CodeElevate service, communicate with you about your account or evaluation, respond to support requests, and understand how the product is used in aggregate.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your repository data or personal information to train machine learning models, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Repository access

CodeElevate requests the minimum read permissions required to perform structural analysis. We do not request write access. Repository access can be revoked at any time through your source control provider's authorization settings.

4. Data retention

Analysis results and account data are retained for the duration of your subscription or evaluation period. Upon account closure or request, data is deleted in accordance with our internal data lifecycle policy. Enterprise customers may discuss custom retention requirements with our team.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect data in transit and at rest. Access to customer data is restricted to personnel who require it to operate and support the service.

In the event of a confirmed security incident affecting Customer Data, CodeElevate will notify Customer without undue delay and, where feasible, within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of the incident.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights or ask questions about your data, contact us at contact@codeelevate.dev.

7. Contact

For privacy-related enquiries, write to contact@codeelevate.dev. We aim to respond within five business days.

This document is subject to change as the CodeElevate platform develops. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
